Storm Katie hits the beach overnight.

...in pictures taken early this morning.

The 'overtopping' of the spit is almost certainly a breach now as it is close to low tide and the sea is still flowing.

 The demolished barrier....

A very grey morning after a very rough night.

The scoured beach.

A long distance shot of a wild sea even at low tide.

After a week of re- shingling....was it worth it?
Note the scattered lobster pots.

  1. Is the flooding on Harbour road due to heavy rain (which can't drain through tarmac)? Or has the sea come in? Is the sewage system compromised?
